The company operates in over 140 cities and has connected more than 100.000+ house owners since 2015. With this kind of business, it becomes crucial to have a team that is responsible for the customer experience on the platform.

This is where Billy comes in the picture. His daily responsibilities includes:

#1 Can you explain to us what your typical day looks like at MamiKos?


As a CRM specialist at Mamikos, on daily i need to set up an Ad Hoc campaign related CRM channel. Also, don't forget to collect the campaign data result for learning purposes.

As you know with startups and this whole work from home environment, almost 50% of the time will be filled by meeting with other teams.

Lastly and most exciting one as a CRM you need to improve and develop the customer journey with the automated campaigns and don't forget to socialize with the team

#2 Biggest myths and misconceptions about CRM?

CRM is always seen for the post phase in digital marketing meanwhile these days CRM can actually be started in the early stages possible in the business.

#3 Your proudest professional achievement at MamiKos?

There are 2 things that i can proud of in MamiKos so far :

  1. Able to encourage MamiKos to use flow automation campaigns based on customer journey to optimize the engagement rate.
  2. Create display product marketing that is connected to the email channel

#4 What drives you to work in your current industry?

From the beginning I was always attracted to technology, especially to the internet.

The world these days makes everything connected to digital, therefore scoping out trends and seeing how they impact discoverability in marketing industry always encourage me to explore more on digital marketing

#5 Things you wish you could have learned earlier in your career?

There are no useless things in digital marketing.

You might think email has less impact than Facebook or google advertisement, but the thing is everything should work together to create a digital structure.

I wish I realized this earlier, maybe not in my career but when I started my small businesses in the past.

#7 Your tips for someone who is interested in starting his career in CRM (aside from applying to RevoU :)?

Be curious, always test any possible outcome through your campaign.

One of the biggest benefits of CRM compared to other positions in digital marketing is A/B Testing so make sure you use that benefit.  

#8 The fundamental skills an CRM professional is expected to have?

Always position yourself from a customer perspective, and after that try to relate it to your company goal from there just take your time to connect the dots.

#9 What distinguishes a good CRM person from a great one?

Good CRM person always prioritize their customer satisfaction, providing a good reason why doing A rather than B by combining it with data.

And lastly be cooperate with any other team because CRM is a combination of Data, Software, And Marketing itself.

#10 Best examples of CRM brand activities (outside MamiKos) in Indonesia?

If I could choose the best example of CRM Brand Activation is Nike, especially Nike ID.

You may know apps called Nike plus, despite being heavy on selling offline products yet they can still connect the customers by providing an online platform called Nike +.

From there they can do many CRM activities they want to their customer by giving the privilege to their latest product, upcoming event, or even customer service.
